I made a bingo generator!

...okay, this is nothing which does not already exist on the internet, but I was bored and I wanted to build it. I plan on adding functionality that will pre-load lists of things like tropes, kinks, genres, dramatic situations, etc; problem is, first I have to generate those lists, or find someone who's already generated them who'll let me use them. XD

At some point, I may also add support for 3x3, 7x7, even 9x9 grids, and other fancy stuff like that. Maybe even styling. In the mean time, if you find yourself desperately needing a Bingo card this Holiday season and unwilling to google a generator, here you go! Let me know if you see any bugs. ;)

[ETA] And then I made a nice comma-separated list of These classic dramatic situations, which I don't really see a lot of people using, but which could be used! Mostly as a proof of concept. But, you know, concept proved!

This is very fun XD Especially now that you have so many lists! However, I'm getting what seems to be a weird bug--or maybe it's just the repeated workings of chance, because it's the longest list? That is, if I include the Aarne-Thompson fairytale classifications (and I love that you included that list as a possibility), all I get in my entire card is Aarne-Thompson fairytale classifications. I've tried generating a number of different cards and it just keeps happening.

Edit: After further testing, I've come to the conclusion that it is a bug, because when I go back up to the input box after generating the card, there is no longer anything appearing there but the fairytale classifications. (I did check before generating the card and my original selections were in fact all there.) I've tested it several times, on both Firefox and Safari, some with the "allow repeated values" checked and some without. This does not appear to be happening for other people so maybe it just doesn't like me...

Huh! That does seem to be a bug – it looks like the other lists are either not populating the textarea, or not being preserved. (I wonder if it's an issue with how long HTML POST values are allowed to be, or some sort of truncation on the PHP end; when the list is reloaded after a submission, it seems to always cut off the Aarne-Thompson list at the same place.) I'll take a look into it. Thanks!

I finally worked this one out! It looks like it had to do with a formatting error in the Aarne-Thomspon list: of of the links had too many "s in a row, which made the HTML throw up its hands and give up in certain situations.

The Aarne-Thompson list should generate cards with all of its values, now, and when it's combined with other lists, it should also pull values from them. (It'll likely still be heavily weighted toward the Aarne-Thompson list, just because that list is so long, but I tested it by selecting every single pre-loaded list in the generator, and that gave me a card that was less than half Aarne-Thompson. Which is probably a testament to ysabetwordsmith's list-writing skills.)
