...meanwhile, my brain is giving me someone named Tether, an aromantic, touch-hungry, skin-averse, heterophysical, sex-repulsed asexual who undergoes violence-hunger cycles in accordance with lunar cycles, peaking at the new moon. She gets paired with some guy called Knife, who as far as I can tell is a fairly vanilla heterosexual guy somewhere on the aspie spectrum, with a nearly eidetic memory and somewhat decentralized cognition. Who may also be a high-functioning sociopath.

I have no idea where my brain is going with this, but I suspect they fight crime.

touch-hungry, skin-averse

Curious, how does this work? She prefers to touch things other than skin? (Clothes, horns, scales, etc.?) Or, she needs touch but hates the skin part at the same time?

I'm curious, because this is interesting~~

So far as I can tell, she dislikes anything that seems to have to do with bodily fluids – skin oils are repulsive to her, she doesn't like kissing because of the saliva, and sex is right out. But touch through clothing, etc, are fine – and I imagine that yeah, she could touch horns and the like. And is generally good with hair and fur, so long as it's dry, but at the first hint of hair or fur oils, repulsed. I don't imagine she'd have any problem with scales. Some feathers, more than others. (Duck feathers would definitely drive her away.)

I know she usually wears long trousers, boots, a turtleneck, leather gloves, and often a mask like a MOPP mask or a gas mask.

And at the same time, she very much desires touch and physical interaction/affection; Knife eventually gets used to her basically crawling into his lap if they're on a sofa together for any length of time, and she tends to sleep better if she's pressed up beside someone.

I need to start writing more asexual stuff. I mean, if I want to see it I should at the very least create some so I can be like 'look, I did write it, now you write some.' IT'S JUST THAT WRITING ABOUT SEXUAL, SEMI-ROMANTIC OR ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS IS SO EASY IN COMPARISON.

(One day I'll stop writing easy things for class, and start writing the hard stuff. That day is... well, could be today. We'll see.)
