Hello, Trick-or-Treat creator! Thank you so much for making something for me. This is my first time in this exchange, and I have no idea what to expect, so I'm looking forward to the surprise!
I'm going to spitball some things to give you an idea of what I like, and I hope you can use them as a jumping-off point. Don't feel too leashed to anything I say if you're not feeling it.
Things I love (in general):
* Thinky intricate gen
* Gen which showcases powerful / intimate non-romantic and non-sexual relationships between characters
* Tangled (or fucked-up) power dynamics
* Snark and banter
* Heavy angst with a light (or sardonic, or cynical) narrative touch, with happy or at least trending-upward ending
* Tender hopeful things in the midst of disaster
* Rollicking fun adventure times
* Characters relying on each other, or on each other's diverse strengths
* Unhealthy coping mechanisms
* Characters who display affection in different ways, especially when they're hopeless at using words for emotions
* ...characters who are hopeless at using words for emotions
* Characters who are disinclined to admit their own mental/emotional states, or who have actual trouble understanding or recognizing or admitting their own mental/emotional states
* Worldbuilding porn, scenery porn, food-description porn, backgrounded slice-of-life porn, sense-of-history-in-the-world-and-character-relationships porn...
* Whump
Things I'm not into (in general):
* I tend away from romance and sexual content, just 'cause I'm aroace myself and I tend to be saturated with it through other media. There's no need to scrub out canon relationships or anything, but I like to focus on other forms of relationships.
* Body horror, injury gorn
* Non-canon major character death
* Humiliation
